Every morning I pull a card from my current, favored oracle or tarot deck. If the weather is nice, I will take a walk. Then journal my dreams as I eat my morning meal. These moments are my mindful ritual with self.
On days I see clients, I fill my diffuser or light a candle, prep my healing table with essential oils, then pray and intend with Spirit prior to any sessions. At the end of the day, I give thanks, turn off the light of my diffuser or blow out my candle and close my curtains. This is my mindful ritual with Spirit and my healing space.
Mindful ritual can be a profound tool. It doesn’t matter what religion or spiritual pathway you follow. Daily (or regular), structured rituals can be used to encourage self awareness and allow spiritual awareness to blossom in your physical space.
Ritual also inspires spirit to join you where you are in the physical, 3D world. This has a huge benefit! When this awareness is opened, Spirit is with you always. You do not always have to be in peace or quiet meditation to see and sense their presence.
I am blessed to have a job that encourages daily ritual with Spirit and Self. However, daily rituals do not have to be selective to job titles or career pathways. No matter your profession or schedule, you can have structured time to be with Spirit and Self through your own daily ritual.
I encourage you to explore ritual! Open your mind and allow ritual to be a re-occurring moment to honor self, spirit, and/or others.
These can be moments where certain actions or words denote your gratitude towards your journey, towards spirit’s support, or even your own body for carrying you through. It can also be a moment to allow your desires, needs, and wishes to be heard.
It is important to remember, ritual is less about what you are doing and more about how you are doing it.
Be present and in the now. In other words, do not think about todays to do’s or tomorrows tasks or yesterdays whoopsies. Be completely present with the ritual. When this is achieved, it does not matter if the ritual is ornate or simple, long or short, by yourself or with others. All that matters is you show up.
If you do not have a ritual to be present with Spirit or Self, I encourage you to create one this week! How can you create structured moments of presence with Spirit and Self that you can embrace regularly or daily? You get to choose how simple or ornate your ritual is. You can always start small and build your way up!
If you're a spiritual OG and feel uninspired, I encourage you to revisit rituals of the past. Try one on again, see if it reinvigorates your system and energy. See if the past ritual brings you back to a point of wonder with Spirit. Or better yet, ignites the creation of a new ritual!
If you already have a daily or regular ritual you are content with, take a moment to honor yourself. Every moment you spend in ritual, is a moment that ripples into the livelihood of your existence and impact. Mindful ritual can have a beautiful effect on your mindset as well as those that occupy space with you. If it feels right, leave a comment below with some of your daily rituals to support those in need of ritual innovation!
I am catching up on blogs and this one was very helpful. I had been falling away from daily time with spirit and rituals even the simple ones. Thanks for the reminder 💜
