“From the smallest pebble on the beach to the infinite vastness of the cosmos, everything is ETERNALLY interconnected in the ONENESS of spirit.” (Author- unknown to me)
(I do apologize for not knowing where I read this quote. In the past I was not always good about including the source.)
In my mind, I always had this image of a huge ball of light that was the source of everything (For me, it represented the consciousness of God). Individually, all people were moving towards this ball of light until they were touching it, absorbing slowly into it, and finally immersed into it to become one with it. With each immersion, the light became brighter, and the ball became bigger. Included with this vision was a sense/comfort of coming home. This opening quote interested me because it aligned with this vision that I had as a child.
As a child, I held near this vivid vision without fully understanding its meaning or implications. I know the vision was significant because I could recall it in vivid detail every time that I thought about it. Interconnective-ness and oneness were not terms that I was familiar with until I was older and had a fundamental understanding of quantum physics.
The concepts of an energetic biofield/matrix/grid that connects everyone and everything is real to me despite not being able to see it with my human eyes. I can see it with my third eye and feel it with my heart. We are connected through all levels, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, via this energetic matrix. It explains the beauty and effectiveness of long distant healing and wonder of prayer.
Energy is contained even within that lonely pebble on the beach and as a result, is part of this energetic matrix we interact with every day.

Everything we do, say, think, and believe affects others and our world around us because of this intimate energetic connection. Likewise, through our connection, we feel each other’s’ pain/trauma/suffering (as well as the joy). It is profound concept to realize that ‘we are not alone (and never have been) in this journey called life.’ And just as importantly to realize that we have an impact on everyone and everything through this connection. As a result, we have a responsibility to be accountable for what we do, say, think, and believe.
This universal connection leads one to the greater concept of energetic oneness and reveals that the idea of separation is a fallacy that our brains have created. We can’t hide from the consciousness or glue that holds us all together, to all of life. This consciousness naturally pulls us (because we are part of the whole, every one of us) into a certain alignment, accepting of all our talents and faults, and our individuality. This glue or consciousness is the big ball of light in my vision.
Sadly, many do not have the conscious awareness that we are all one energetically. If they did, they would be looking for the connection, what they have in common with each other, and what they can share and learn from each other. Instead, they are looking for and highlighting the differences, so they can create a false sense of separation and/or hierarchy of power. With conscious awareness, may come a shift in their behaviors and choices.
Since we are all in this together, all connected, all part of the whole (oneness), regardless of whether we are aware or not, we naturally move into the role of becoming each other’s guardian. We are all ‘guardians of the universe.’ Once we acknowledge our connection to everyone and everything, we can embrace this guardianship.
As conscious guardians, we guide/support/assist others to become aware so they can feel this connection, this oneness, and embrace the responsibilities that come with the knowledge/awareness.
